Every January, my friends and I have a tradition of collaging our aspirations and ideas for the year to come. The Collaging Brunch is in its 6th run (hellooo, way before Oprah was doing it) and it’s something I look forward to at the start of each year.

It’s a group of smart, talented NYC gals who are artists and businesswomen, working in fields ranging from film, writing and bodywork to beauty and design. I am fortunate to have collaborated with many of them professionally – but even luckier to call them my friends.

This year the gang met up in one of our lofts in Long Island City. There are always a few new faces, which keeps it fun and ever-evolving. After we collage, goss and eat our body weights in poached eggs and granola, we circle and discuss the visuals we’ve created.

It’s wild to look back at collages from years past – visuals that manifested directed, visuals simply placed on the collage because they looked cool…but then found their way into your life somehow unexpectedly.

I think this year’s gonna be pretty rad…
